You can use the Sabrent ST-PX2T Serial ATA II 3 Gbps 4-Port PCI Express RAID & SATA II Host Controller Card to add the advanced features of SATA II RAID 0 and RAID 1 to your computer.Using the new PCI Express interface, which effectively quadruples the amount of available computing bandwidth, you'll get faster music downloads, smoother video streaming, and super-fast access to your storage devices.
The card has two external SATA II connectors and two internal SATA II connectors. SATA II at 3 Gbps provides data transfer rates that is far faster than older interfaces such as SATA I and IDE. Its 48-bit LBA can support drives larger than 137GB. The card provides support for up to four drives and can do RAID 0 (striping) and RAID 1 (mirroring). RAID 0 increases performance by writing data to multiple drives simultaneously and RAID 1 protects data from failure by writing data to both drives so there is a backup in case one drive fails.
The card requires Microsoft Windows 2000, Windows XP, or Windows 2003 Server, and an available PCI Express slot.
